Until 81 years, Dr. P. H. Vora enthusiastically attended orthopaedic conferences and conducted his orthopaedic private practice. He may be considered as the pioneer of Arthroscopy in India and had a lion's share in propagating the art and science of Arthroscopy Surgery in India.

He started doing Arthroscopies in 1979 and established the Indian Arthroscopy Society as its Founder Secretary and later went on to be its President. To propagate Arthroscopy in India, he organized the first International 'HANDS-ON' workshop in Mumbai in 1985 with 10 eminent international faculties from USA, UK, Germany, Italy & the Netherlands with 230 delegates. He continued relentlessly to organize Arthroscopy workshops in more than 20 Major Orthopaedic Centers all over India and was elected as a member on the Board of Directors of the International Arthroscopy Association from 1984 to 1989. He has also served on the Editorial Board of 'ARTHROSCOPY'.

He served at the Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals as an Honorary Consultant and retired in 1994 as Professor & Head of Department of Orthopedics, while continuing his private practice at the Sir H. N. Hospital in Mumbai. He had served as an examiner for Undergraduate and Post Graduate Studies in Orthopaedics at the University of Mumbai and as an Examiner for DNB in Orthopaedics.
